These fine optics feature the exclusive MINOX optical system that provides extremely high light transmission - 92% -- by using 21 layers of the innovative M*Coating® on the lenses, optimizing light transmission and natural color rendition, and delivering 17% more contrast and minimal glare. It also guarantees sharpness right to the outer edges.
Another performance-enhancing feature of the HG Series is the exclusive MINOX Quick-Close-Focus (QCF) system. This innovative capability makes it possible to take exact distance readings, in yards, from a scale on the focusing wheel. A single turn of the focus knob takes you quickly from close-up to infinity. The body is made of rugged but lightweight magnesium and has a protective rubber armor coating, making these binoculars watertight to a depth of 16 feet.
Other benefits include twist-up eyecups with four click-stops for improved adjustment to different eye reliefs; a comfortable Neoprene neck strap; and a hard carrying case made of genuine leather.
