The leather-trimmed 42 mm BL model looks especially elegant and is reminiscent of the legendary binoculars and cameras which made Leica famous. The leather trim brings its weight to under 700 grams (24.7 oz).

Magnesium and titanium are the strengths of the lightweight 50, 42, and 32 Ultravid series. A housing manufactured completely out of magnesium and the articulated axle made of high-strength titanium guarantee a long service life and make the extraordinary lightness of the Ultravid models possible. Easy to use with an attractive design: the newly designed central focusing device is an outstanding functional achievement. Technical precision is hidden in the tightest space. This new scale facilitates easy reading of the diopter values and the large focus wheel is easy to use. The extremely short focusing path of slightly more than one rotation allows the optimum point of focus to be found quickly.
