Leica ER Riflescopes - Perfect for all types of hunting

The longest eye relief thoughout the power range - ideal for hard recoiling rifles.

The LEICA ER riflescopes combine legendary optical performance with unsurpassed mechanical reliability. The ER 2.5-10x42 and 3.5-10x42's moderate size is ideal for hunting rifles used in rugged conditions backpack, horse-back, fly-in hunting camps. The LEICA ER fits perfectly in the hunters rifle case or scabbard. Designed for ease of mounting, the ER series has the most compact eyepiece and the largest amount of straight tube fore and aft of the turret housing of any premium riflescope. The long eye relief (10 cm) is ideal for large calibre rifles. The outer lenses are coated with Leica's high tech AquaDuraTM coating whose water and dirt repelling properties make cleaning easy and keep ready for action.

The LEICA ER 2.5-10x42 and the 3.5-14x42, remarkable for their compact design and 10 centimeter eye relief. Due to their magnification range, the riflescopes are equally suitable for still and driven hunting. The abbreviation ER stands for Extended Eye Relief. Eyeglass wearers and users of large-caliber weapons in particular will welcome the safety and comfort offered when shooting with Leica riflescopes. The extremely short eyepiece makes the riflescope compact and offers many possibilities for perfect assembly on the weapon. The exterior surfaces of the LEICA ER have water-repellent Leica AquaDura coating for good visibility and easier cleaning. The reticles 4A, Ballistic and Plex are naturally situated in the second image plane. The convenient clickstop mechanism adjusts the impact point by MOA (0.7 cm) per click at 100 meters.

The barrel of the LEICA ER is made of aluminum and has an extremely hard anodized finish and a diameter of 30 mm. The LEICA ER is waterproof to a depth of four meters and nitrogen-filled to prevent fogging. The riflescopes are supplied without a rail. The delivery includes a pull-on cover.

The LEICA ER 3.5-14x42 is the longe range shooter's ideal riflescope. The higher magnification allows precision shooting at long range. The 10 cm / 3 15/16" of eye relief, gives the shooter added confidence against the results of the hardest recoiling rifles. Generous straight tube fore and aft of the turret housing and compact eyepiece allows for exceptional mounting flexibility.

At the upper end of the power range, the 14x magnification gives ample power for precision shooting at long range while at the lower end, the 3.5 magnification is ideal for short or moderate range shooting. When teamed with the Leica Ballistik Plex reticle, a LEICA laser rangefinder and an accurate rifle, precision long distance shooting is possible.

The side mounted parallax adjustment is easily adjusted to insure image and reticle sharpness.

The LEICA ER 3.5-14x42 is scheduled to be be available (June 2010) with ASV elevation turret it adjusts the point of impact of the bullet to different distances at the turn of the turret knob. Available Reticles: German #1, German 4A, LeicaPlex, Leica Ballistik Plex and Leica CDD. All reticles are the second image plane (American Style).

Ballistic Reticle
in the Second Focal Plane

Leica's Ballistic reticle features a familiar 4 post with cross hairs configuration. Hash marks on the 6 o'clock stadia assist the shooter with hold-over points for long-range shot-placement.
This reticle is positioned in the rear or second focal plane; it does not change dimensions when the scope's magnification is dialed up or down.

Leica's Reticle 1 features a standard European hunting configuration; two heavy non-tapered posts at 3 and 9 o'clock, and a single heavy tapered post at 6 o'clock. The peak of the 6 o'clock posts indicates your exact point of aim. Designed for shooting quickly under any lighting conditions, the Reticle 1 is extremely versatile and well suited for any hunting scenario.
This reticle is positioned in the rear or second focal plane; it does not change dimensions when the scope's magnification is dialed up or down.
